Zbyněk Hubač

Zbynek Hubač ( born September 1, 1940 in Trutnov ) is a former Czechoslovakian ski jumper.

Hubač launched in 1961 at the Four Hills Tournament. At the Olympic Winter Games in 1964 in Innsbruck, he jumped on the normal hill on the 30th and on the large hill on the 19th Place. In the Four Hills Tournament 1967/68 in Partenkirchen with the seventh place he managed to leap into the top ten. This placement he reached a year earlier in Bischofshofen. 1968 reached Hubač in Bischofshofen 3rd place for the first time a position on the podium. In the overall standings, he thus reached the fifth place. At the 1968 Olympic Winter Games in Grenoble, he jumped on the normal hill on the 19th and on the large hill on the 25th place. At the Four Hills Tournament 1968/69 he was able to increase its performance and reached at the end of the third place in the overall standings. On January 3, 1971, he was able to win in Innsbruck for the first and only time in his career a jump at the Four Hills Tournament. After another good finishes at the end again he reached the third place in the overall standings. In 1972 Hubač to his third Winter Olympics in Sapporo. In the individual competition on the normal hill he came at the end points with Frithjof Prydz and Rolf Nordgren to eleventh place. From the large hill he reached 15th place with his unsuccessful participation in the Four Hills Tournament 1972/73 he ended his ski jumping career.

After his playing career he became a coach at his hometown club TJ Dukla Liberec.
