In the Valley of Željeznica

The Željeznica is a right tributary of the Bosna in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It rises at the foot of Treskavica mountains above the village Godinja. There she has a series of rapids and whirlpools. Upstream of the village Turovi located as a natural phenomenon of the boiler Željeznica.

The Željeznica flows through the towns of Trnovo and Ilidža before it finally empties into the Bosna Sarajevo in the West.

The Željeznica flows west along the Jahorina mountains. On the right bank of the river there is the archaeological site of Butmir. Nearby is the source of the Bosna ( Vrlo Bosne ).
