Żelki

Żelki ( German United Silkow ) is a village in the municipality Kobylnica powiat Słupski ( tripping circuit) of the Polish Pomeranian Voivodeship. It is part of the Office Schulz Żelkówko.

Geographical location

Żelki located in Pomerania, about 15 kilometers south of Slupsk ( Stolp ), 12 km south-southeast of Kobylnica ( Kublitz ) and 102 kilometers west of the regional capital Gdańsk.

History

Originally the villages large and small Silkow Silkow had been part of a single Gutsbezirk, the families Wobeser and Zitzewitz had in common in possession. Other forms of Gutsnamens are Szellekow, Selkow and Syllekow. The two owner - families were related. In 1337, Martin called by Wobeser. 1687 were both parts of the estate to the family Wobeser under which the joint property then remained united until 1810. Great Silkow was applied as a line village. To 1784 there were in Great Silkow a Vorwerk, seven farmers, two Kossäten, a schoolmaster and a total of 18 households. The estate at that time was one half in Stolp and the other half in Rummelsburg county. 1925 were in the United Silkow 29 houses. 1939 were counted in United Silkow 231 inhabitants, which were distributed to 50 households. The last landowner in the United Silkow 1938 Werner Kruger is mentioned.

Before the end of World War II, the United Silkow official seat of the administrative district Great Silkow district Stolp, administrative region of Pomerania, Pomerania. The municipal area was 950 hectares.

Towards the end of the Second World War, the region fell into the hands of the Red Army on 7 March 1945. Soon after, United Silkow was placed under Polish administration. Poland invaded the village and took possession of the houses and farmsteads. Great Silkow was renamed zelki. The German inhabitants were expelled. The estate was nationalized, but remained until 1952 in Soviet hands. 1952 was assigned a Staatlicher farm ( Państwowe Gospodarstwo Rolne ) and 1970 the farm in Kwakowo. At the beginning of the 1990s, has ceased operations.

78 and sold in the GDR 58 from Great Silkow villagers were later identified in the Federal Republic of Germany.

In 2009 zelki had 53 inhabitants.
