Zhaosu County

Mongolküre, or Zhaosu, is a circle of the Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture Ili in northwestern Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in the People's Republic of China. It has an area of 10464.9 square kilometers and counts 155 997 inhabitants (2003 ). Its main town is the large village Zhaosu (昭苏 镇).

The Shengyou Temple of Mongolküre ( Zhaosu Shengyou miao昭苏圣佑 庙), a Mongolian lama monastery and the plaque commemorating the conquest of the Khanate of Dsungars ( Pingding Zhunga'er Leming at平定 准噶尔 勒 铭 碑), which, in 1761, in the Qianlong era of the Qing dynasty was built, on the list of monuments of the people's Republic of China since 2001.

Administrative Divisions

At the community level, the circuit is composed of a large village and nine municipalities ( three Nationality communities: two of the Mongols and the Kirghiz ) together.
