Zhongba County

The circle Zhongba ( Tib: ' brong pa rdzong, Tibetan: འབྲོང་པ་རྫོང་, Drongpa Dzong ) situated in the northwest of the district of Shigatse in Tibet Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China. It has an area of 43,594 km ² and 19,493 inhabitants ( end of 2007).

Zhongba comprises roughly the territory of the district until about 1960 passed Zhadün (扎 东). The eponymous former capital is now a small group of partly abandoned houses and the monastery Zhadün (扎 东 寺), in the administrative area of ​​the village Tangxi (唐西 村) in the municipality Labranggosa.

The seat of the county government Zhongbas, the community Labranggosa, consists of administrative buildings, quarters of the Chinese army, a large school for the children of the district belonging to nomads, Chinese shops and some hotels that are frequented especially by travelers to or from Ngari.
