Brick bridge is a place in the cantons of Glarus and St. Gallen in Switzerland.

Political relations

Brick bridge is divided by the Linthkanal, which also marks the cantonal border, into two halves. The northeastern part of the mainline railway station is located in the municipality of GeopathSchänis in the canton of St. Gallen and the southwest portion on the other side of the Linth in the canton of Glarus in the village of Lower urns (municipality of Glarus Nord).

Traffic

On the part of the St. Gallen is home to around 70 people, whose main employer is the SBB. The brick bridge station is a railway junction at the SBB- Lines from Zurich to Chur and the regional line of Rapperswil SG to Linthal. In addition, the postal bus lines and the Weesen- Amden connect the station to Weesen -Amden, with the municipalities in the country and gaster with the two communities Bilten and low polls.

Economy

Waters

History

Since time immemorial is the most erstwhile confluence of Linth and the Walenseeausfluss Maag Located Ziegelbruecke important trading hub and found here a Roman Bronze statue of the god Mercury. Earlier came the village as a toll station on the waterway whales city Zurich to great importance.
