Ornamental village is situated in the wine district in Lower Austria. The area of ​​the municipality covers 48.72 square kilometers. 18.76 percent of the area is forested.

The municipality comprises the cadastral Dippersdorf, Fahndorf, Gettsdorf, Großmeiseldorf, Hollenstein, Kiblitz, Radlbrunn, Rohrbach and decorative village.

History

The place ornamental village was first documented in 1100 as " Ziehgeißdorf ". The original capital of the axis ran from east to west through today Hollabrunner street and the old cellar lane along an ancient trade route. Along this street you can find today the oldest surviving houses in the village.

Only with the construction of the k.u.k.
