Zimmers Hole
Zimmers Hole is a comedy metal band from Vancouver in Canada, which has existed since 1991. For the band Chris "The Heathen " Valagao, Jed Simon ( Strapping Young Lad ), Byron Stroud include ( Strapping Young Lad, Fear Factory ) and Gene Hoglan ( Dethklok, Strapping Young Lad, formerly of Death, Dark Angel, Testament, etc.).
Band name
The unusual name was the band before their first gig as the opening act of the musician Dean rooms, which according Valagao among other things was a local celebrity that he had his backside exposed publicly. Thus would be grammatically actually the spelling " Zimmer's Hole " correctly. On the albums as well as the official website you will find only the spelling " Zimmers Hole ". Often the name is abbreviated as "The Hole ".
Band History
The band Zimmers Hole was founded in 1991 by Jed Simon and Byron Stroud and thus is longer than the band Strapping Young Lad, in the meantime, however, had far greater success. The longtime drummer Steve Wheeler was replaced by Gene Hoglan in 2007.
Style
Despite the large human proximity to Strapping Young Lad and Devin Townsend ( of all the albums produced ) is Zimmers Hole stylistically aligned differently.
