Zlatá Olešnice (Jablonec nad Nisou District)

Zlata Olešnice ( German Woleschnitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located five kilometers south-east of Tanvald in Jizera Mountains and belongs to Okres Jablonec nad Nisou.

Geography

The village is located in the southeast of the Jizera Mountains in the valley of the brook from the mountain Zlatník Rejdický Kopec south.

Neighboring towns are Český Šumburk, Příchovice and Rejdice in the north, Počátky in the northeast, Sklenařice in the east, Vysoke nad Jizerou in the southeast, Počátky and Stanový in the south, Lhotka in the southwest, Haratice, Bohdalovice and Velké Hamry in the west and Tanvald in the northwest.

History

The earliest reports of the Slavic settlement dates back to the year 1033, when the first Christian church was built. The apostles Cyril and Methodius, consecrated church is said to have been at the leading of Semily about Bozkovské old trail on the left bank of the Zlatník. Documented can prove the village since 1384.

Zlata Olešnice was divided into two parts; the upper district belonged to the rule Nawarow, while the other, making up the largest part of the village 's share of rule Semil was associated.

The municipality consists of the villages Zlata Olešnice Lhotka, Návarov ( Nawarow ) Stanový ( Stanow ) and Zlata Olešnice ( Woleschnitz ). Basic settlement units are Lhotka, Stanový, Zlata Olešnice Návarovská ( Woleschnitz - Nawarower share ) and Zlata Olešnice Semilská ( Woleschnitz - Semiler share ).
