Zogu I Boulevard

The Bulevardi Zogu i Pare is a boulevard in the Albanian capital Tirana. The boulevard had several names in its history since the fall of the dictatorship in 1990/91 he again its original name Zogu i Pare ( Zog I. ) and thus to the king of Albania, Ahmet Zogu ( 1895-1961 ), named.

The straight road connecting the city center at Skanderbeg Square with the Franz- Nopca Square north of it, where was the train station. It is the northern continuation of the Bulevardi Deshmoret e Kombit which connects the central Skanderbeg Square with the Mother Teresa Square in the south, and why it was also temporarily Bulevardi Deshmoret e called Kombit. Along the streets form a continuous north-south axis through the center of Tirana. At present, the axis continues to be built to the north over the site of the former station on a sequel.

The construction work for Bulevardi Zogu i Pare began in 1930 and lasted for several years. During the rule of the Party of Labour of the boulevard was named in honor of Joseph Stalin in Bulevardi Stalin. Today the roadways separated by a median strip on which a sidewalk is located.

The boulevard begins at Skanderbeg Square, where first the right side, the Tirana International Hotel and left side, the National History Museum with the matching flower garden are. Immediately afterwards it crosses right with the road Rruga Urani Pano and left with Rruga Ded gjo Luli. This is followed by multi-storey buildings with apartments, shops and offices before the boulevard with the streets Rruga Fortuzi left and Rruga Bardhok Biba crosses right. At the first corner Bulevardi Zogu i Pare and Rruga Fortuzi in the same building of the High Council of Justice and the Interior Ministry. Further along the road are first left and right relatively small residential buildings before then follow multi-storey prefabricated buildings. Law of the boulevard is the Obstetrisch - Gynecological University Hospital "Queen Geraldine ", just opposite is the Natural Sciences of the University of Tirana. Following just before the road ends, the road branched left Rruga Haxhi Hysen Dalliu. When Franz- Nopca Square of Bulevardi Zogu i Pare ends. Here are all around fairly high residential and office buildings, while located in the north of Tirana station. Left and right of the Boulevard then branches to the street Rruga Reshit Petrela.

For the future it is planned that a tram line is passed through the street.
