Zoo Park

The Zoo Park is a public park on Independence Avenue (until 1990 Kaiser Street ) in the Namibian capital Windhoek. It is situated in the Windhoek Central.

History

The Zoo Park is of prehistoric interest. In 1961, the remains of an elephant found here are estimated to be at least 5,000 years.

The area around the monument became a popular tourist destination.
