Zoo Tycoon (2001 video game)

Zoo Tycoon is a business simulation computer game developer Blue Fang Games, which was released in 2001 by Microsoft for the PC.

Gameplay

Aim of the game is to use a self built zoo to generate the largest possible profit or to make as well known as possible to the zoo. These paths, enclosure and various other facilities for visitors have built and are kept clean and bought animals and personnel, such as zookeepers, set.

Depending on how much effort the players while building the zoo and the enclosure is and whether enough care and maintenance personnel is set, raise and lower the satisfaction level of visitors and animals, with disgruntled animals in turn have a negative impact on visitor satisfaction. For high visitor satisfaction and good exhibit design and awards (eg "Zoo of the Year" or "- Blue ribbon highest visitor satisfaction " ) waving.

At Marine Mania also demonstrations with animals can be shown. Furthermore, one can get the official bonus objects and animals from Microsoft and the various fan pages download, such as Asian elephant, sable antelope, Puma and Lama.

The game is presented in 2D graphics, 3D elements do not exist.

Continuation

The re- developed by Blue Fang Games sequel Zoo Tycoon 2 was released by Microsoft Game Studios in November 2004. A German version was published by the Microsoft Germany GmbH, the distribution took over the NBG EDV Handels - und Verlags GmbH & Co. KG.

The graphics have been improved over its predecessor and replaced with a 3D view, but the gameplay remained largely the same. However, the specific behavior of the animals is more complex and allows for greater interaction with the animals.
