Zora Young

Zora Young ( born January 21, 1948 in West Point, Mississippi) is an American blues singer. She is a distant relative of Howlin 'Wolf.

Biography

From a young age Zora Young sang gospel songs. When she was seven years old, her family moved to Chicago, where she sang in the church choir. It was relatively late, she began, R & B and blues to discover.

In her long career she has performed with many renowned artists, including Junior Wells, Jimmy Dawkins, Bobby Rush, Buddy Guy, Albert King, BB King and many others. Among the musicians with whom she recorded, including Willie Dixon, Sunnyland Slim, Paul deLay and many more.

Your first album, Travelin 'Light, was published in 1991. She was more than 30 times on tour in Europe and is a popular guest at major blues festivals.
