Zübeyir Aydar

Zübeyir Aydar (* 1961 in the district of Pervari Siirt Province ) is a former Kurdish member of the Turkish Parliament and Chairman of Kongra Gel, the political arm and " parliament" of the separatist terrorist organization Kurdistan Workers' Party. In the Turkish press is " Behzad " specified as the code name.

Life

Aydar was born in 1961 in the province of Siirt and later studied law at the Law Faculty of the University of Istanbul. After his studies he worked as a lawyer and managed the Human Rights Association ( IHD) in Siirt. He joined the Parti Sosyaldemokrat Halkçı at ( SHP) and in 1990 founded with politicians who had left the SHP, the Kurdish " party of the people work" ( HEP ). Due to an electoral alliance with the SHP Aydar was elected as an MP in the Parliament in 1991. After the election, the name change to "party democracy " (DEP ) was performed. After the lifting of his immunity by decision of the Parliament in March of 1994 and the dismissal of an abolition of the Parliament's decision by the Constitutional Court Aydar left Turkey and settled in Belgium. From there, he led - after several name changes - the so-called " People's Congress of Kurdistan ", an organization that will take over the role of Parliament in the thinking of the Kurdistan Workers Party. This 'Parliament' meets once a year in the Kandil mountains, a company controlled by the PKK mountain region in northern Iraq. Zübeyir Aydar was married to Evin Cicek. The couple has two children.
