Žučkovac

Žučkovac (Cyrillic: Жучковац ) is a village in Serbia.

The village lies in the Opština Sokobanja, Zaječar in Okrug, in the east of the country. The town is located 355 m above sea level. Žučkovac had in 2002 a population of 529, while it is still 668 inhabitants in 1991. After the last three population statistics, the population continues to fall. The population of Žučkovac provide predominantly orthodox Serbs and also a minority of Orthodox Roma, Macedonians, and Yugoslavs. The village consists of 137 households. It is 10 km from the Serbian spa town Sokobanja away.

Sports

The most important sporting club of the village is the football club FK Sloga. The football club was founded in 1962 on the initiative of the football fans of Žučkovc. Several times, the club had won the football league in the Opština Sokobanja and was winner of the SFO Sokobanja Cup. The greatest success recorded the club FK Sloga in the season of 2001/2002 when he was fifth in the circle of football Zaječar.
