Zvonko Bego

Zvonko Bego ( born December 19, 1940 in Yugoslavia) is a former football player.

Career

Clubs

Zvonko Bego played from 16 to 26 years for Hajduk Split before he was short 1967/68 squad in the Bundesliga FC Bayern Munich and this left towards the Netherlands without obligation stake in December 1967. In the first division club Twente Enschede he came in the 1967/68 season but only six times used ( debut on December 17, 1967 in the 1-2 defeat in the away game at DWS Amsterdam), but scored a goal ( on April 15, 1968 at 2 :2 draw at ADO Den Haag ). He then returned to Germany, to the regional league team Bayer 04 Leverkusen back. In the West Regional, he played in the 1968/69 season 17 times and scored one goal. After a season in Austria at SV Austria Salzburg, with whom he won the 1970 UEFA Intertoto Cup. After this season, he returned to Yugoslavia and was still active for the NK and NK Junak Usbok before he ended his footballing career.

National

Zvonko Bego was a member of the squad for the Olympic football tournament in Rome in 1960, but was not used in the tournament. Bego played six times for the national team of his country and scored two goals. He made his debut on 19 November 1961 in Zagreb 's 2-1 victory in the Test match against the selection of Austria; He scored his two goals on 2 December 1961 in Hong Kong in the 2-1 victory over the selection of Hong Kong and on 7 December 1961 in Jakarta in a 5-1 victory over the selection of Indonesia. His last game he played on December 14, 1961 in Tel Aviv in a 2-0 victory over the selection of Israel.
