Zweiflingen

Zweiflingen is a municipality in the district of Hohenlohe ( Heilbronn-Franken region ), 8 km north of Öhringen in northeastern Baden -Württemberg. The church was first mentioned in 1230 and today has about 1,800 inhabitants ( as of 2012). Zweiflingen Situated by the UNESCO World Heritage Upper Germanic - Rhaetian Limes.

Community structure

To Zweiflingen include the former municipalities Orendelsall and Western brook. For the former municipality Orendelsall include the village Orendelsall and Outbound village Bergheim. For the former municipality Westernbach include the village Westernbach and Outbound village Bongartten or tree garden. History

Zweiflingen was first mentioned in documents in 1230. In the 15th century the whole area of ​​today's community came under Hohenlohe rule. The country's division in 1553 led to membership in the county of Hohenlohe- New stone, which in turn was part of the Frankish Empire circle. When the Hohenlohe country lost their independence due to the Reichsdeputationshauptschluss circuit 1806 also Zweiflingen came to the Kingdom of Württemberg, and thence to Oberamt Öhringen ( since 1938: County Öhringen ). Long distance routes

Culture and sights
