Zwiefalter Aach

Oh Zwiefalter in Zwiefaltendorf

The Zwiefalter Aach or Zwiefalter Ach is a river in the counties of Reutlingen and Biberach and is a left tributary of the Danube.

Course

As Aach origin Wimsener the cave is called. From this the Zwiefalter Aach flows out and gets shortly thereafter inflow from Hasenbach. That rises two kilometers north of the Glastal. Here at the beginning of the river is the flow direction from north to south. The first place the Aach crosses the Zwiefalter district Goss Zugen and then Zwiesel itself in old maps they united here with the boiler Aach for Aach, thus the name Zwiesel created ( = split Aach ). The Zwiefalter Aach changes in Zwiesel its flow direction to southeast. Passing Baach and under the federal highway 312 through it, it flows in the district of Biberach. Behind the circle border, they now reached Zwiefaltendorf and ends at the eastern edge of the Danube.
