Zwóz

Zwoos (Polish: Zwóz ) is a village belonging to the Glowtschütz hamlet in Upper Silesia. Zwoos located in the municipality Guttentag ( Dobrodzień ) in Oleski powiat ( district of Rosenberg OS) in the Polish Opole Voivodeship.

History

In Topographic Manual of Upper Silesia from 1865 Zwoos and the place Rendzin be mentioned under the name Zwoos - Rendzin as belonging together. Together both had places eight pawns, nine and ten free gardener smallholdings.

In the plebiscite in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921 voted 27 voters to remain in Germany and 83 for Poland, 79 people voted in Gutsbezirk Zwoos for Germany and 40 people for Poland. Zwoos remained with the German Reich. 1933 lived 282 inhabitants in the village. On July 22, 1936, the place in Ahndorf / Upper Silesia has been renamed. 1939, the place had 266 inhabitants. By 1945, the place was in the district of Praise ( in the meantime in the district Guttentag ).

In 1945 the previously German place under Polish administration and renamed Zwóz and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950, the city came to Opole Voivodeship. From 1975 to 1998, was the place in the province of Częstochowa. In 1999 the place for Opole Voivodeship and powiat Oleski. On 4 July 2008, the City also received an official German names, instead Zwoos but the name was incorrectly entered Zwoss. On 13 May 2009, the German Zwoos was in the community Guttentag, plays, introduced as a second official language. 2012 requested the municipality Guttentag an amendment of the German name in Zwoos.
