The Beilfleck - Rotwidderchen or Beilfleck blood droplets ( Zygaena loti ) is a butterfly (moth ) from the family of burnet ( Zygaenidae ).

Features
The moths reach a wingspan of 27-30 millimeters. They have yellow-gray (females ) to gray- blue (male ) forewing, on those who are to find five red spots, which partly flow into each other. The spot at the wing tip is actually the fifth and sixth spot, one inside the other grown and has the shape of an ax. The hind wings are red and have a black border. Development
The females lay their yellow eggs in single layer Located off on the leaves of forage plants. The resulting hatching caterpillars overwinter and pupate in the spring of in a white, silvery, solid cocoon. The pupa is dark brown and has a yellow abdomen.
