1967 Asian Champion Club Tournament

The first playout of the Asian Champion Club Tournament ( engl.: Asia Champions Cup ) took place from 6 May to December 19, 1967. Eight national champions were invited from eight Asian countries. The Indian and Iranian participants withdrew their participation. First Asian club champions was the Israeli club Hapoel Tel Aviv in the final in Bangkok ( Thailand).

Mode

The competition was played in a knockout system with home and away matches. Because of the small number of participants, after deduction of the Iranian and the Indian team some clubs received a bye.

First round

The first legs took place on 6 and 18 May, instead of the return legs on 27 May and 3 June 1967.

2nd round

The first leg took place on July 15, the second leg on July 29, 1967 instead.

Semifinal

The first leg took place on 16 September, instead of the return match on 21 October 1967.

Final

The finale was held in Bangkok (Thailand) on 19 December 1967.
