2000–01 Danish Superliga
The 2000/01 season was the 11th season of the Danish Superliga, which was held by the Danish Football Association ( Dansk Boldspil - Union). The season began on 22 July 2000 by the game against Brøndby IF Aarhus GF and ended on 13 June 2001.
As a climber from the Viasat Sport Division were added FC Midtjylland and Haderslev FK.
After the season
FC København was able to qualify as a Danish Champion for the second qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League 2001 /02. Brøndby IF Silkeborg IF managed to participate in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Cup in 2001/ 02. FC Midtjylland and AaB qualified for the first round of the UEFA Intertoto Cup 2001.
Herfølge BK and Haderslev FK descend into the Viasat Sport Division.
