2000–01 United Hockey League season
The 2000/01 season was the tenth regular season of the United Hockey League (until 1997 Colonial Hockey League). The 15 teams should complete in the regular season per 74 encounters, but the game plan had to be changed due to the premature, financially -related, leaving the Mohawk Valley Prowlers. The point of best team in the regular season were the Quad City Mallards, which won the Colonial Cup in the play- offs for the third time.

The following changes were made before the start of the season:
- The Elmira Jackals were added as an expansion team in the league.
- The New Haven Knights were added as an expansion team in the league.
- The Madison Kodiaks have been to Kalamazoo, Michigan, moved and changed their name to Kalamazoo Wings.
