2001–02 QSPHL season
The 2001/02 season was the sixth regular season of Ligue de hockey semi- professionnelle du Québec ( LHSPQ ). The 15 teams completed in the regular season per 44 encounters. The point of best team in the regular season were the Garaga de Saint- Georges, while the Chiefs de Laval for the first time, the Futura Coupe won in the play- offs.
Team changes
The following changes were made before the start of the season:
- The Promutuel de Rivière -du -Loup were added as an expansion team in the league.
- The Beaulieu d' Acton Vale have been to Saint -Hyacinthe, Quebec, moved and changed their name to Cousin de Saint- Hyacinthe.
- The As de Beaupré returned to Quebec City, Quebec, back and changed their name back to As de Québec.
- The Dragons de Saint -Laurent were to Verdun, Quebec, moved and changed their name to Dragons de Verdun.
- The Grand Portneuf de Pont- Rouge changed their name to Caron & Guay de Pont- Rouge.
- The Pape Tiers de Windsor changed their name to Lacroix de Windsor.

Coupe Futura Playoffs
In addition to the other pairings in the second round Cousin de Saint- Hyacinthe, Royaux de Sorel and Mission de Joliette clashed in three games, but the first two have moved into the playoff quarterfinals.
