Verdun Dragons

The Dragons de Verdun ( Verdun Dragons English ) was a Canadian ice hockey team from Verdun, Quebec. The team played from 2001 to 2006 in the Ligue Nord - Americaine de Hockey.

History

The franchise of the Dragons de Saint -Laurent from the Quebec Semi-Pro Hockey League was founded in 2001 by Saint -Laurent, a suburb of Montreal, Verdun, another suburb of Montreal, relocated and renamed the Dragons de Verdun. In the five years of its existence, the team reached the playoffs for the Futura Coupe, she could win in the season 2003/ 04 for the first and only time in each case. Previously, the team was eliminated in the semifinals twice and then twice in the quarterfinals.

Following the 2005/ 06 season, the franchise was disbanded for financial reasons.
