Laval Chiefs

The Chiefs de Laval ( Laval Chiefs in English ) was a Canadian ice hockey team from Laval, Quebec. The team played from 1998 to 2005 in the Ligue Nord - Americaine de Hockey.

History

The franchise the Chiefs de Sainte -Thérèse from the Quebec Semi-Pro Hockey League was moved in 1998 and renamed to Laval Chiefs de Laval. The Chiefs de Laval played seven years in the league, which was renamed Ligue Nord - Americaine de Hockey 2004 due to the increasing professionalization of its participants. In the seasons 2001/ 02 and 2002/ 03 the team could each win the Coupe Futura. Once in their last two years of sporting success the franchise has failed to sell before the 2005/06 season to the company Genex Communications and renamed Summum - Chiefs de Laval. A year later, the team was moved to Saint -Jean -sur- Richelieu.
