The WTA Championships 2002 ( also known as Home Depot Championships presented by Porsche known ) was an indoor tennis hard court tournament for women in Los Angeles, United States. The tournament was held until 11 November 2002 at the Staples Center on 6.
Serena Williams in singles and the duo Lisa Raymond and Rennae Stubbs in the doubles were the defending champions.
Winner of the single was Kim Clijsters, who defeated Serena Williams 7-5 and 6-3. The double title secured Elena Dementieva / Janette Husárová against Cara Black / Jelena Lichowzewa 4:6, 6:4 and 6:3.
