2005 AIHL season
The 2005 season was the fifth season of the Australian Ice Hockey League, the highest Australian Hockey League. Masters were for the second time in club history the Newcastle North Stars.

Mode
In the regular season, each of the eight teams completed a total of 26 games. The top four teams qualified for the playoffs, where the Master was played. For one victory after regulation time, each team received three points for a win after overtime two points for a Draws and one defeat after Ovetime one point and one defeat after regular time zero points.
