2005 OFC Club Championship

The OFC Champions Cup 2005 was the fourth sending a oceanic Champions competition for club teams in football after four years of interruption and found from May 31 to June 10, 2005 with eight clubs from seven countries in Papeete in Tahiti instead. The teams came from Australia, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, Tahiti and Vanuatu. The team qualified due to their rankings in the national championship. The representative of Australia and two teams from Tahiti were set for the preliminary round. The other teams had advance to contest from which qualified a further five teams qualifying round with a return game. The competition was played in a round robin tournament with two groups of four teams, followed by a knockout round. The two best group reached the semi-finals.

The winner Sydney FC from Australia qualified as a representative of Oceania for the FIFA Club World Cup 2005 in Japan.

Qualification

The qualifying matches took place between April 6 from 10 February. The Gästteams had to deny each of both games on the opponent's court.
