2008 FINA Diving World Cup
The World Cup in 2008 was a water jump organized by FINA competition series in the water jump, which until February 24, 2008 took place from 19th in Beijing. Venue was the National Aquatics Center. A total of eight competitions were held, each one individual and synchronized diving from the 3- meter springboard and the 10 - meter tower in women and men.
The World Cup was also the most important qualifying competition for the 2008 Olympics and also served as vorolympischer test contest. In the individual events, the top four synchronous pairs were given the 18 semi-finalists in the synchronous disciplines a quota place, unless they already won this at the World Championships in 2007.
The competitions were again dominated by Chinese athletes won seven of the eight possible titles. Surprisingly Sascha Klein won the diving of men. Overall, athletes from eight different countries were able to win medals.
