2010 WTA Tour Championships
The WTA Championships 2010 (also known as Sony Ericsson Championships - Doha 2010 known ) are a hard court tennis tournament for women in Doha, Qatar and count toward the four Grand Slam tournaments to become the fifth major tennis tournament of the year. The tournament was held from October 31, 2010 from 26. The Tennis Championships WTA Tour in women's singles and double will be held at the Khalifa International Tennis Complex for the third and final time. From 2011 to 2013, the event at the Sinan Erdem Dome in Istanbul, Turkey takes place.
As defending champion came to U.S. American Serena Williams in singles and the Spaniards Nuria Llagostera Vives and María José Martínez Sánchez in the doubles.
In single Kim Clijsters defeated Caroline Wozniacki 6-3, 5:7 and 6:3. The double Gisela Dulko won the pairing / Flavia Pennetta Kveta Peschke against / Katarina Srebotnik 7-5, 6-4.

The two highest ranked each group qualified for the semifinals, which will be played according to the knockout system.
