2012 PTT Thailand Open

The Thailand Open 2012 was a tennis tournament, which was held in Bangkok from 24 to 30 September 20121. It was part of the ATP World Tour in 2012 and was discharged on hard court. In the same week the Malaysian Open was played in Kuala Lumpur, who scored just like the Thailand Open to Category ATP World Tour 250.

Defender of the single was Andy Murray, who did not participate in this year's tournament. In doubles, Oliver Marach and Aisam -ul- Haq Qureshi were the defending champions, but they also participated in this year no longer participate in the tournament. In this year's singles final, the Frenchman Richard Gasquet defeated his compatriot Gilles Simon clear in two sets. This Gasquet could again win the title in a tournament in over two years. In the double equipped with a wildcard Lu Yen - hsun pair and Danai Udomchoke won against the set of four double Eric Butorac and Paul Hanley. For Lu, it was the second doubles title for Udomchoke it was at his home tournament, the first ATP final at all.
