Defending champion Radek Stepanek and Leander Paes were, but they divorced in the first round. Winners were the previous year's finalists Bob and Mike Bryan, the Dutch pairing of Robin Haase and Igor Sijsling beat in the final. With this sixth Australian Open title the Bryan brothers are now the sole record holder as the most successful doubles team in history; a title she previously shared with Tony Roche and John Newcombe.
