2013 Men's World Open Squash Championship

The 35th World Squash Championship (English PSA World Championship ) Men took place from 26 October to 3 November 2013, the National Squash Centre in Manchester, United Kingdom. She was the most lucrative tournament in the PSA World Tour 2013.

Ramy Ashour was defending champion, defeated in five sets in the previous year Mohamed El Shorbagy. Ashour had come as a big favorite in the season, he had won every tournament in which he participated. He reached the semi-finals at the World Championships, but had to give up due to an injury in the game against Nick Matthew. Thus, Matthew moved into the third World Cup final of his career, where he met the Frenchman Grégory Gaultier. Gaultier, vice-champion of 2006, 2007 and 2011, was defeated in the semifinals Mohamed El Shorbagy. The final decided by 2-0 and 2-2 between temporal Englishman Matthew 11:9, 11:9, 11:13, 7:11 and 11:2 for themselves. He thus became the third time after 2010 and 2011 World Champion.
