4th César Awards

Also nominated in this category were Anouk Aimée, Annie Girardot and Isabelle Huppert. Serrault was La Cage Aux Folles both nominated for Best Supporting Actor for the money of others as well as Best Actor for the film comedy, for which he ultimately won the award.
