8th Berlin International Film Festival

The International Film Festival Berlin 1958 took place until July 8, 1958 by June 27.

Willy Brandt opened as the new Mayor of Berlin for the first time the festival. In his opening address, Brandt praised the diversity of the international film whose Art, was hardly less different than the language and customs of the peoples. The critics praised the conclusion of the festival not only the diversity, but also the variety exceptionally good films that one of the most successful made ​​the eighth edition of the festival.
