Adam Duce

Adam Duce (born 1972 in Oakland, California) is an American bassist and founding member of the heavy metal band Machine Head.

Life

Duce had a difficult childhood, he was only twice four months at home between his 11th and 18th year in a row, the rest of the time he spent in drug rehab, residential homes, mental hospitals and juvenile hall.

Music

In 1985, he began playing bass in 1992, he founded with his friend Robb Flynn the metal band Machine Head. Besides Machine Head, he participated also at Roadrunner United, and is represented on the DVD The Concert.

Duce is a passionate dirt bikers. Here, he retired in 2007, a bone fracture to that required a surgical procedure in which the bone with a steel plate and two screws had to be splinted. Since he could not attend the Black Tyranny Tour Machine Heads by the United States in this state, he was replaced by Brandon Sigmund of Hostility. Controversy with Robb Flynn

During their tour of Slipknot and Machine Head, there was a two days running dispute between Robb Flynn and Adam Duce under a gig in Paris, which ended in the fact that Flynn immediately flew back to the U.S. and announced his departure from the band. However, under the condition of a common therapy, the band briefly re- united to it. After it was in 2012 was again some disagreements between Flynn and Duce, Duce was fired.
