Alexander Vladimirovich Fadeyev

Alexander Vladimirovich Fadeev (Russian Александр Владимирович Фадеев; born January 4, 1964 in Kazan ) is a former Soviet figure skater, who started in a single run. He is the world champion of 1985 and the European Championships in 1984 and from 1987 until 1989.

Alexander Fadeev started with figure skating as a small child. Was given to him by his parents The first ice skates. The father Vladimir, a professional electronics engineer, had nothing left for the figure skating. The mother Anna, a doctor by profession, was the driving force that brought Alexander Fadeev for figure skating.

As a six year old pupil Alexander Fadeev was discovered by the figure skating coach Gennady Tarasov. At age 16, he went to coach Stanislav Zhuk to Moscow and began henceforth for CSKA Moscow.

Alexander Fadeev was the first figure skater combining triple Axel - Doppeltoeloop. His greatest successes were the World Champion title in 1985, four European titles and the junior world title in 1980. A medal at the Olympics, he could not win.

During his amateur era of Alexander Fadeev studied sports. After that he went to the pros and appeared in several ice shows. He now lives in San Diego in the United States. His wife is a former synchronized swimmer and is called Svetlana. The couple has a son named Vladimir.
