Ambattur

Ambattur (Tamil: அம்பத்தூர் Ampattūr [ ambʌt̪ ː u ː ɾ ] ) is a district of Chennai (Madras ), the capital of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Ambattur is one of 15 zones ( zones ) of Chennai and comprises 15 districts ( wards ).

Ambattur is located in the west of Chennai, roughly 15 kilometers west of the city center. The Ambattur zone has an area of ​​38.5 square kilometers.
