Apostolic Vicariate of Brunei Darussalam

The Apostolic Vicariate of Brunei (Latin: apostolicus Vicariatus Bruneiensis ) is located in Brunei Roman Catholic Apostolic Vicariate with its headquarters in Bandar Seri Begawan.

History

The Apostolic Prefecture of Brunei was built with the Bull Constat in finibus on 21 November 1997 of territory of the Diocese of Miri. Pope John Paul II elevated on 20 October 2004 with the Bull Ad aptius consulendum the Apostolic Prefecture Apostolic Vicariate.

Parishes

In Brunei, there are three parishes:

  • Church of Our Lady of the Assumption in Bandar Seri Begawan, headed by Arin Sugit ( b. 1972 )
  • Church of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception in Seria under the direction of Robert Leong ( b. 1960 )
  • St. John 's Church in Kuala Belait under the direction of Paul Shie (* 1959)
