Cornelius Sim

Cornelius Sim ( born September 16, 1951 in Seria ) is Vicar Apostolic of Brunei.

Life

The Bishop of Miri, Anthony Lee Kok Hin, ordained him priest on 26 November 1989. On 21 November 1997 he was appointed Prefect Apostolic of Brunei and introduced into the office on 22 February of the next year. Pope John Paul II appointed him on 20 October 2004 Vicar Apostolic of Brunei and Titular Bishop of Putia in Numidia.

He received his episcopal consecration of the Apostolic Nuncio to Thailand, Singapore, Cambodia, and Apostolic Delegate in Myanmar, Laos, Malaysia and Brunei, Salvatore Pennacchio, on January 21st of the next year; Co-consecrators were John Ha Tiong Hock, Archbishop of Kuching, and Anthony Lee Kok Hin, Bishop of Miri.
