Asterix and the Laurel Wreath

The Laurel Wreath ( original French title: Les Laurier de César ) is the 18th Asterix band and was texted by René Goscinny and drawn by Albert Uderzo. It was published in 1972 in French and German in 1974.

Action

The village chief Majestix visited with his wife good mien and Asterix and Obelix his wealthy brother- in Homöopatix Lutetia. This comic is probably the most adult -oriented Asterix story. It shows drunkenness, slavery, debauchery, especially violence, nudity, androgyny, and it requires some knowledge of art and history in order to understand all the allusions.
