Atlético Bucaramanga

Club Atlético Bucaramanga Corporacion Deportiva is an association founded on May 11, 1949 a Colombian football club based in Bucaramanga. The club, also called Los Leopardos, currently plays in the second Colombian league.

History

Atlético Bucaramanga rose for the first time in 1994 from the first division from, but could directly celebrate the 1995 championship in the second division and ascend. In the season 1996/97 the club was the first Torneo Adecuacion win, but lost the championship final against América de Cali and became runner-up. This Bucaramanga authorized to participate in the Copa Libertadores 1998, where he reached the second round at once. 2001, the club was relegated for the second time in the second division from, but could benefit from the increase in the league to 18 teams and secured in a Relegation to remain in the first division. The third relegation befell the club in 2008. During the first season in the second division Bucaramanga reached the final, but lost it against Cortuluá. Also the relegation game against second-bottom of the first division, Deportivo Pereira, the club could not decide for himself, and remained thus in the second division. 2010 reached Bucaramanga, although the group stage, but finished last in Group B. In the seasons 2011 to 2013, the association was able to place only twice among the best eight teams, but missed each clearly reaching the finals.

Stadium

Atlético Bucaramanga completed its home games at the Estadio Alfonso López. The stadium was inaugurated in 1941 and has a capacity of 25,000 seats.
