The HK Avangard Omsk (Russian ХК Авангард Омск ) is a Russian ice hockey club was established in 1950 from the Siberian city of Omsk. The team plays in the Kontinental Hockey League and wearing their home games at the 10,000 -seater arena from Omsk. The club colors are red, white and black.

History

The club was founded in 1950 as Spartak Omsk, later also bore the name Aeroflot Omsk, Omsk rubber, Chimik Omsk and Omsk Schinnik before he was finally renamed in 1981 in Avangard. Is financed by the club from the Russian oil company Gazprom Neft and the Omsk Oblast.
