BÃ¥rd Vegar Solhjell

Bård Vegar Solhjell ( born December 22, 1971 in Kristiansand ) is a Norwegian politician of the Socialist Left Party ( SV), currently the vice chairman and cultural and legal policy spokesman for the SV Group in the Storting.

Solhjell is in Naustdal, Sogn og Fjordane grew up. He studied political science at the University of Bergen and the University of Oslo. From October 18 2007 to 20 October 2009, he was Minister of Education and was responsible for schools and kindergartens. 2009-2012 he worked as a simple member of parliament. On March 23, 2012 Solhjell returned to the cabinet as Minister of the Environment Stoltenberg II.
