Berthelming

Berthelming ( German Bartol Began, 1871-1916 Bert helmet Ingen ) is a commune with 516 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region. It belongs to the district Sarrebourg and Canton Fénétrange.

Geography

Berthelming situated about ten kilometers north of Sarrebourg on the Saar River at an altitude 231-282 m above sea level. The municipality covers. The majority of its territory is covered with forests.

History

The village came to France in 1766, from 1871 to 1918 to the German Empire since 1919 and back to France.
