Bitburg-Land

The community association Bitburg -Land is an administrative unit in the form of a local authority in the district of Bitburg -Prüm, in Rhineland -Palatinate. The municipality has 51 independent local churches. The administrative headquarters are in the town of Bitburg, although not himself belongs to the municipality.

History

The municipality was created with the state law on administrative simplification of 7 November 1970, through the merger of the former offices Bickendorf and Bitburg- country as well as parts of the offices Dudeldorf, Oberweis and Wolsfeld.
