Brady Murray

Braden " Brady " Murray ( born August 17, 1984 in Brandon, Manitoba ) is an American- Canadian professional ice hockey player who plays for HC Lugano in the Swiss National League A since 2008. Since he released his first gaming license in Switzerland, while his father Andy Murray was coach of EV train, it does not fall in the Swiss game operating under the Immigration Quota.

Career

Murray was initially active from 2001 to 2002 for the ice hockey team of the St. Mary's Shattuck in the high school league system of the United States. He then went in the Canadian Junior Football League British Columbia Hockey League with the Salmon Arm Silverbacks on the ice, in which he scored a total of 101 points scorer in 59 games. In the years from 2005 to 2007 played the offensive player for the University of North Dakota in the National Collegiate Athletic Association.

Since his father Andy had good contacts with the Swiss ice hockey scene and in particular the then coach of the Rapperswil -Jona Lakers Bill Gilligan, Brady Murray was the fall of 2005 a contract offer from the Lakers, where he convince quite succeeded after a difficult start and in his second season in 38 matches in the qualifying 32 points scored.

This development also remained the Scouts of the Los Angeles Kings, who had selected the striker NHL Entry Draft in 2003 in the fifth round at a total of 152 position, not hidden and so they beorderten Murray after the end of the 2006/07 season in the National Hockey League. However, the breakthrough does not come into North America and Murray completed only four NHL games. The rest of the season, he played with the farm team of the Los Angeles Kings, the Manchester Monarchs in the American Hockey League.

After this detour to North America Murray plays since the 2008/ 09 season back in the Swiss National League A for the HC Lugano. His personal high score in a game of the National League A is dated December 5, 2008, as he recorded four goals and an assist against EHC Biel.

His younger brother Jordan is since March 2012 also in the National League A in the HC Lugano under contract.

Internationally

At international level, Murray took the U.S. national team at the U20 World Youth Championship in 2004, in which an attacker aground in six games and two hits to the gold medal win contributed.
