Bréel
Bréel is a commune with 127 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Orne in Basse-Normandie region.
Geography
Bréel located 15 kilometers north-east of Flers. Bréel lies on the River Rouvre. Near the Roche d' Oëtre is. Bréel situated in a hilly landscape that Rouvre loses in the municipal area 40 meters in height. The neighboring communities of Bréel are Saint -Philbert -sur -Orne in the north, La Forêt- Auvray to the east and south, Notre -Dame- du- Rocher in the southwest and Ségrie -Fontaine in the southeast.
History
A wine made of granite for the production of cider from Bréel was shown at the World Exhibition in Paris in 1900.

Economy and infrastructure
Bréel lies on the road from Truttemer -le- Grand to La Forêt- Auvray, which follows the course of an old Roman road. The river is navigated by Rouvre whitewater drivers.
In Bréel today there is hardly any agricultural enterprise, but there is a joinery and an electrician.
Demographics
In the 18th century Bréel benefited from its granitic soil, and had up to 675 people.
