Geography
Geographical location
The wine is in the conservation area Selztal with the nature reserves Talberg, Flößrich / Gänsklauer and Binger meadow. For boys home includes the living spaces Bubenheimer mill and house Ludwig.
History
Boys home was first mentioned in 766 in a document Lorsch.
The population was in the last 150 years, between 500 and 550 in the last 10 years, a steady increase in the meantime about 900 residents was recorded.

The local council in boys home consists of twelve council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman.

Boys home has a Protestant and a Catholic church. Both are located near the village square.

Economy and infrastructure
Boys home is especially known for its wine cultivation in the documents Kallenberg and honey mountain. In addition to the wine include asparagus and fruit growing among the main sources of income. The close proximity to Ingelheim ( Boehringer), Mainz ( ZDF, Schott) and the Rhein- Main- area makes boys home to a popular bed-and Wochenendort for many commuters.

The town is crossed by the county road 16 The federal highways 60 and 63 can be reached by car in 10 to 20 minutes.
